The tour begins at the Kilohana Plantation, located just West of Lihue off Hwy 50. The Kilohana home, built in 1935, was the Grove Farm plantation manager's estate. |

The cane tunnel was built by McBryde Sugar in 1947 and 1948. It took many miles off the round trip from the fields to the mill and from the mill to the harbor. It is just under one half a mile long through the Haupu Ridge. |

The old mill in Koloa has been shut down since 1996. The crops grown in the area now include coffee and seed corn. |
